Loving Minds Mental Healing primarily focuses on psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Brief supportive therapy may be provided during visits when clinically appropriate, but ongoing psychotherapy is best supported through a licensed therapist. Collaboration with your therapist is welcomed when part of your care.

Loving Minds Mental Healing is primarily a self-pay practice, allowing for personalized care, flexibility, and focused treatment without the limitations or restrictions often associated with insurance-based care. Payment is due at the time of service.

Loving Minds Mental Healing does not accept State Medicaid or Medicaid managed-care plans at this time. Patients with Medicaid may choose to receive services on a self-pay basis; however, Medicaid generally does not reimburse members for privately paid services.

Loving Minds Mental Healing may assess the following fees in accordance with practice policies:

Late Cancellation Fee
A $25 fee will be charged when an appointment is canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice.

No-Show Fee
A $50 fee will be charged for a missed appointment. If you have not joined your scheduled appointment within 10 minutes of the appointment start time, the visit will be considered a no-show.

Release of Information (ROI)/Medical Records Fee
A $30 administrative fee applies when a completed Release of Information (ROI) is required for records to be prepared and sent to an outside provider, organization, or other authorized party.

Late Payment Fee
A $30 late fee may be applied to an unpaid invoice that remains outstanding for more than 28 days.

These fees are separate from appointment charges and are the patient's responsibility. Late cancellation, no-show, records, and administrative fees are generally not billable to insurance.

Follow-up appointments vary based on your treatment plan, symptoms, and how you respond to medication. In the beginning, appointments may be more frequent to monitor progress and make adjustments. Once stable, visits are often scheduled less frequently based on your clinical needs.

It is completely normal to have questions or concerns about medication. Treatment decisions are collaborative, and medication is only recommended when clinically appropriate. My goal is to provide clear information about benefits, risks, and options so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

Unfortunately, Loving Minds Mental Healing is unable to prescribe Schedule II stimulant medications to patients located in New Jersey. This includes medications such as Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta, Vyvanse, and Focalin.

Why?
New Jersey law (N.J.S.A. 45:1-62(e)) places specific in-person requirements on Schedule II controlled substances. For adult stimulant treatment, an in-person examination is required within 30 days of the initial telehealth prescription, followed by ongoing monitoring that includes an in-person examination at least once annually.

Because Loving Minds Mental Healing is a fully virtual practice and does not offer in-person appointments, these requirements cannot be met. Therefore, Schedule II stimulant medications cannot be prescribed to New Jersey patients through the practice.

Please note: This restriction applies specifically to Schedule II stimulants and does not necessarily prevent treatment for ADHD with other clinically appropriate medication options.
